RESHOOT∞
PakFileContents∞† Excel Database
Reshoot is a Command Line tool that allows you to quickly browse and or Extract the contents of The Movies .Pak Files which contain all the game content needed for creating Mods.
During installation the program itself is installed into C:\Program Files\The Movies Editor by default. Additionally there is a folder created C:\tmextract. ‡ This is where your extracted content should be once you use the extracting command.
usage: reshoot [options] FILENAMES
FILENAMES supports ? and * wildcards.
options:
--version show program's version number and exit
-h, --help show this help message and exit
-d DIR, --dir=DIR set working directory to DIR [default: .]
-f TEXT, --find=TEXT find items from TEXT
-g, --gamedir set DIR to The Movies game directory
-e, --extract extract FILENAMES to DIR
-i, --interogate interogate FILENAMES
-l, --list list all files matching FILENAMES
-n, --next find next install name for FILENAMES
-r, --related include related files in extract
-q, --quiet quiet mode
-u, --unlock unlock all awards
For Example if you wanted to extract all files related to the Alleyway Set you could use the command ‘reshoot –e –r set_alleyway*’.
† My Excel Database contains a searchable list of all the contents and directory structures of 'The Movies' Pak Files. I find it more useful to search through then doing blind 'Reshoot -l' searches.
‡ The default extraction folder is C:\tmextract, however the utility will extract the files into whatever directory your currently viewing when you execute reshoot –e. The extracted data will also create the necessary directory structure for the contents extracted (i.e. Data\*Whatever*\*Whatever*)
